thanks Gwem, i hoped you'd like it, being the resident V man :)

i just hope it doesn't take me too long to get together the rest of the money.  i'm itching to get it home and really play it!  i suppose i'll have to listen to some Scorpions and Michael Schenker now, to bone up on my V tones :)

the gold colour is very nice I think! its a sensible buy in a way, as well as being a passionate one.

where did you get it? sounds like that they had some cool guitars in that shop.

you wouldn't use the meat knife on crusty bread but, equally, the serrated knife and straight edge knife aren't going to go through raw meat as quickly

a tiny little shop in county Louth, just about the last place you'd expect!  i actually got my 1970 Les Paul Custom there too.  as well as the V, they had another early 70's Custom in sunburst, the '64 Strat, a bunch of 70's Tele's and strats, 5 or 6 Marshall 1959 heads, a JTM45/100 (although it may have been a reissue), a pair of JCM900 SL-X's, a '53 Fender Champ and various other vintage Fender, Gibson, Gretch and Rickenbacker guitars.  also a decent range of new stuff.  it's an out of the way little shop with a surprising stock.
