Using Impulses in Cubase etc
« on: April 10, 2011, 09:48:21 AM »
Hey all, I know a few of you guys are avid computer recorders, so I have a question: how would I go about using speaker / cab impulses in Cubase? Is there an impulses VST that I'd need to install? I'd like to try my Pod out with some different cabs (so switching on the "no cab" option in the chain and using an impulse instead).

Also, can anyone recommend some good impulses to use?

Cheers!

check out the post on jamsite :P

It explains what plugins you need and also links to them & some free decent impulses.

Id quote it but im too lazy to go over there.

The basic gist of it though is

1, load impulse loader vst
2, load impulse file
3, play

i cant remember the name of the impulse loader off hand hence the very vague description

Sorry to hear that, dude. I remember a Metal social networking site that started off really well, got hundreds of members, and now it's offline due to inactivity. Sucks.   :?

By the way, Impulses would help A LOT for you, than buying the Boost pedal (RE: other topic)
"Would you like some lemon oil?"
"Oh, no thanks, I don't eat fruit."

a boost pedal would actually work extremely well also rather than the shitety stomps on the line6 software
