Anyone used this pedalboard?
« on: January 09, 2006, 10:54:20 AM »
Hey guys.

I'm looking for a new pedalboard and I came across this http://www.ehx.com/ehx2/Default.asp?q=f&f=%2FCatalog%2F39_Pedal_Bag

It sells here for about £30 whereas for me to have a pedalboard built i'd be looking at spending about £80 minimum (going by prices on the internet).

Does anyone here have any experience with the Electro Harmonix Pedal Board?

Thanx for any opinions guys.

Craig

I had the same under a different brand name - it's Ok but doesn't stand hard gigging, especially when water/beer lands near it, soaks it up like a sponge!!

Not so good with heavy pedals either!

I'm using one for my pedals, and I think it's £30 well spent when you see all the other pedal boards going for a darn sight more.

It seems well made and reasonably sturdy, copes with my Dunlop Wah, 2 EHX, a RAT, a couple of others and a PowerBank (both lugging around and storing them). A minor bug-bear is the carrying straps are like those on sports bags/luggage with the wrap around velcro handle, but they've put it on the base strap so it sort of gets in the way when you're foot is hovering (it's just out of sight in the pic).

I got mine from http://www.hotroxuk.com.

Thanx for the posts guys.

I think I'll take the plunge and buy 1 I think :)

I generally look after my stuff well, so hopefully it'll last long enough for me to get the use out of it.

I'll be using it to store a Fulltone Fat Boost (buffer), Vox Wah, Fulltone Fulldrive2, G2D Custom Overdrive, Modded Ibanez Tubescreamer, a BOSS Chorus and a Line6 DL4 (when I can afford 1!), so hopefully it'll be big enough :)

Skybone, how is the velcro that you get with the pedalboard? Is it anygood or do I will I likely need stronger stuff?

Thanx for the posts.
