A while back I bought an old Orange 4 x 12 and it wasn't exactly what I thought I was getting condition wise. It was pretty rough as you will see from the photo's, painted black and the grille cloth just cut out. Well I decided it was going to be my project cab and then my gigging cab. This is what it looked like when I got it......

After many hours and sore fingers here is the end result. New corners, got the old metal handles powder coated and re-chromed and I'm real happy with the end result. So much so I did my amp box to match. Not sure if I would bother doing this again but who knows. Speakers are 2 x G65's and 2 G12-30H anniversaries and an X pattern.

That's a first rate job there and like a Phoenix it rises from the over-sprayed ashes. Looks superb.

Thanks fellas it's always great to have good comments from fellow players. The cab was a little daunting to say the least as it had to be done in one piece and at one stage I thought it was going to be a disaster!

Hunter, I don't normally have the gain quite so high but I was just testing the speakers at lower volumes and I got carried away! Ha ha. When I'm gigging I like a fair bit of crunch, so the pre vol is about 6 and the drive about 5 for heavy tracks / lead breaks. Apart from the fact it can be a little noisy (mains hum) I really love these amps. On a sour note, the cab is not for everyone, with those speakers it weighs an absolute ton.... heaviest cab I've got!
