Could you possibly expand on this statement? I assume you're referring to the black LP Custom that Robbo used in his later Lizzy years (as featured on the Live & Dangerous album cover and the L&D '78 video). I had heard that guitar was a 1960. Is that correct, and do you know what pickups were in it? If they weren't PAFs, were they early patent number pickups? Or what? How much "hotter" did pickups get in 1960 (if it is a '60)?
I'm curious, partly because I am a massive fan of Robbo's playing and tone, but also because I am currently considering getting some BKs for one (or both) of my LPs. Am drawn to the Mules and the Emeralds - dare say I might have to experience both when funds allow.
