BKP for 8 String Guitar
« on: May 01, 2011, 12:50:58 PM »
So first off all I apologies for my bad English, I'm french and I only study English for 3 years, sorry for that :S

So, hi guys, I'm new to this forum and I just want to know, what BKP can I choose for a 8 String Guitar.
I've just receive my "Agile Septor 828 RN Nat Ash " (http://www.rondomusic.com/septor828rnnatsatinash.html)
Those guitars are pretty insane but mics aren't enough... mmh, powerfull and precise.
I've got an POD X3 Live (through my monitors) and I mainly play Progressive/Djent/ and some high gains metal style but still sweet and clean. (Meshuggah, Periphery, Animal as Leaders, Monuments, etc...)
I know this BKP are really effective for advantage Mediums (and this is what I'm looking for) so, here is my simple question :

What model of BKP should I choose for this ?

I was thinking about an Aftermath set, Nailbomb or Cold Sweat, but I need advices.
Thanks guys !

Well, Periphery use Aftermaths and Jens from Meshuggah has just ordered a Painkiller. I know of several bands who have used the Painkiller as a great Djent pickup in the past, but I think a lot of people are buying Aftermanths now too. In my opinion, it would be a choice between Painkillers and Aftermaths I guess.

So, for example, a Painkiller to the bridge and a Aftermath to the neck would be a good compromise ?
