3 PU telecaster

I have a tele with a strat pickup in the middle and would like to replace them all.
I play in an indie kind of band so i want glassy cleans from my neck pickup and classic tele sound with a bit more beef from my bridge. In the middle though i was thinking of a high output strat pickup for versatility.

What do you guys think?

From what you've stated, I think a Blackguard Flat '50 set would work well for the bridge and neck positions, perhaps with a Slowhand in the middle.

Not disagreeing, because I don't own any of the Tele sets, but does the Flat '50 neck give "glassy cleans"?  I thought the new-spec '50 neck was warmer sounding than the old spec (which is now the '52, IIRC)?

The '50 bridge is the overwound little devil, the neck has a pretty standard DC resistance for a tele neck coil. Now the '52 neck is a fair bit weaker than average, hence the stratty sound, but unless he wants a tone that's glassier than your characteristic tele neck position gives I think he'll be absolutely set with the '50 :)

Alrigth well the slow hand sounds great and the 50' blackguard bridge sounds just about right output wise. I've heard of people using a yardbird for the neck in combination with the 50' bridge. Is that worthwhile or will i be happy with the blackguard neck?

The Yardbird neck is great, a little warmer and smoother than your average tele neck position but with an excellent open-ness and clarity. I'd suggest going and listening to the clean clips of the tele sets on the site and judging for yourself.
