For some strange reason I keep finding a lot of killer deals...

Not only do I know someone who is selling a regular Bullseye, but I just found another guitar that may be in the running...

USA JACKSON KELLY CUSTOM in pearl white... from the early 90's in mint condition... and it plays awesome... and it's cheaper than all the other guitars... I may just buy this one.

Now you're doing what we all do...... GASing for half a dozen completely different guitars all at the same time.  On those occasions I find it's best to maybe take a step back and not buy anything for a little while.

(..... or just buy all of them!  )
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Good advice. You might buy the wrong guitar in a moment of total gas and be disappointed afterwards.

I'd like to thank you guys for the continuous, useful feedback... it's funny how different the crowd in this forum is compared to others.  I'm glad that the internet has some maturity left in it somewhere lol.

Just to give you guys a little update... I decided to take the majority vote and WAIT on my NGD.  I have, however, continued to shop around... and of course there were a few more guitars that caught my eye.  Here's an updated list of some possibles that I've found for awesome prices...

1) Paul Reed Smith McCarty
2) Jackson Custom Shop Kelly
3) Gibson Les Paul Zakk Wylde Camo Bullseye
4) Fender Jim Root Telecaster
5) ESP James Hetfield Truckster

Oops, I voted LP standard before realising there was 3 pages to this thread and that you had moved on a bit.

My vote is probably biased by my own personal preference. It just seem to me though, if you are looking for a kind of ultimate guitar (as you have "sacrificed" a good part of your collection to get it), it seems to make more sense to look towards what you have always been attracted to: The LP standard. Having played an amazing one a few years ago, I think you definitely need to try loads of different one until you find the one that just sings to your hear.

Having said that, the best way forward could be to forget your prejudices about models and try as many guitar as you can until you find the one that push all your buttons. If you have the time and the inclination that would be the way forward if you ask me.

NGD!!!  :D

And the winner is..... ***drum roll***..... a mateo blue Paul Reed Smith McCarty!!!  And the best part is that I paid absolutely $0.00 because luckily I had two other guitars that the seller really wanted.  I didn't even wait 5 minutes after walking into the door of my house to install a calibrated set of Bareknuckle Warpigs w/ burnt chrome covers in it (the burnt chrome matches the paua abalone bird inlays perfectly).  The wait was worth it!

But wait, there's more!  One of my local guitar shops had a Jim Root Fender Telecaster!  I played it, and it really does check all of the boxes for me... playability, tone, comfort, looks... and it's affordable enough to be an everyday player.  Needless to say, it's on hold until I sell another guitar!

Thanks to everyone for the great input!

Hahaha... done and done.  I'll try to figure out how to upload them.  Unfortunately, my bartering skills are far more developed than my computer skills... pics to follow... eventually.
