Which pickup to replace my c-bomb in LP?
« on: May 07, 2011, 04:32:25 PM »
hey everybody,

i have a c-bomb in my lp std bridge pos. i play it through a jcm800 2203 with some pedals.
it is pretty agressive and huge sounding but that "huge, fat" sound is too much for me in this guitar. i would like to have a pup, that has more mids and less bass and is cutting. not sharp though if that makes any sense.
i am mostly playing hard-rock, stoner-rock, hardcore/metal stuff. as a reference i liked the dimarzio superdistortion.
i´m thinking of trading the c-bomb for a painkiller, cold sweat, rebel yell or even a riff raff.
which one would suit my needs the best?

regards

MDV

The RY has less bass and cuts really well, great rockpu. Cold Sweats are good in LP's too. From what I read and heard  from clips they crunch divine.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
