this speaks to me a bit more

Those are nice - all "vintage" US models, presumably?

I personally dont see the point of having so many, i dont feel id be able to give each one the playing time they deserved

It's funny, I've been selling a few guitars recently and it seems to have given me a clear-out "bug".  I'm looking at all my guitars and thinking "what are all these for?".  Not sure I could ever do a Twinfan and get down to just a handful though.  :?

I thought the thread was gonna be about you when I first saw the title, ha ha

62 strat? Must be one hidden somewhere  :D
Nice collection

Ha!  Unfortunately, no '62.  I'm more of a maple neck Strat guy, though I do have a nice '65  and '66 that were both mint until I knocked an AC30 over on 'em at a session recently.  Ouch...

That's a lucky guy. I would not even have a place to store all that gear.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

How the hell did you knock an AC30 onto it! Hope they're OK?

C'mon guys why not? If you've got toot and you like guitars why not splash out. I've got 16 and although now I can only afford another every 2 or 3 years if I had money I'd need a warehouse and I suspect the same from most if not all of you.
Yep. If I had the cash and the room to spare, I'd definitely double or triple my current collection within a couple of years.

To the owner of the collection posted : cheers man! Most excellent!

Yeah, a few dings, but they are ok.  Just a shame as they were way clean before this.

Just out of interest, how do they play and sound in comparison to a modern custom shop or masterbuilt instrument?

A few Marshalls - he has my 1965 JTM45 now as well

My '56 Goldtop with P90s has been my go to guitar for the past 10 years.  The '59 feels and plays better than any other guitar I own and gets a lot of use, too.

I'd say a modern CS is easier and not as quirky to play.  With some of the older guitars you have to fight 'em a bit, but I like that.  I like that each one feels different, though I did have a recent CS Jeff Beck strat that I loved but recently sold.  That was the nicest new Strat I've played.
