Qualifications aren't everything!  I've got lots of O and A levels, a 2.1 degree and accountancy qualifications, but I haven't amounted to a hill o'beans!

I think self-confidence, ambition and knowing what you want to do are far more important (and I lack all of those in abundance!)

:D I have the self confidence but not a huge amount of ambition. As far as knowing what I want to do I'm still not sure, recently moved to an IT team and am constantly thinking of what sort of discipline I want to get into.

Maybe one to look at again in the future? Well, if it interests you. I did well at school, but really only scr@ped by at uni the first time, having gone back to academia now I've found it much easier to do well, was student of the year for my course last year and really find that after a break of almost a decade it's exhilarating and more compelling to get the head down and get on with it.

I think in the distant future this is something that I may well look at. Zero time at the moment due to family stuff but would love to do some more educational stuff. I do think I would go more down the trade route than an academic route though.
I think I hate being indecisive.

i found studying as an adult much easier than ever before, for once i was getting A's on masters level assignments rather than my run of c's followed by a 2:2 when i was younger.   but then i did go and drop out because of the practical side of it all - so i cant claim it was a total success ;)

but yeah, the studying side of things definitely seemed easier than the first time round

Awesome, nice one :)

Not to sound too negative but I got a First and it still hasn't helped me get a job yet. Sounds like you did a proper degree though so good luck :)
