Hurrah for Drummers.
« on: August 03, 2011, 07:29:18 PM »
Something has started learning the drums on my street. Can anybody recommend a particularly heavy and aerodynamic brand of metronome ? I feel it's my duty to render assistance.

I know everyone has to start somewhere but I'm just so gob smacked that something could give someone with my taste in music a headache (autotune garbage not withstanding)
It wasn't a mistake, it was chromaticism, I swear.

How about the ticking timer of a bomb, before you blow his drumkit up? :P

Good idea, I'll set it so he has to drum consistently in 4/4 at 50mph 50bpm or the kit will explode.

Haha, is it really that bad? I have a mate who learned drums and his sense of beat was absolutely disgraceful. It's true that you get people who aren't musically gifted, which there's nothing wrong with; but how can someone not have sense of a basic beat, lol. Ah well, life goes on. Well it won;t if you plant a bomb, haha.

Try 132 BPM, ie bricks per minute, through the window.
Feline Custom, Fender MIJ mustang bass
Orange rocker 30
VHII and Mississippi queen

Hahahah

I just think it should be illegal to sell an instrument to someone who can't clap along to a metronome for 10 seconds in the shop.

Thankfully it seems someone else has taken over on drum duties and they are pretty damn good. The guitarist is pretty good too although his tone is reminiscent of a plastic harmonica from a kinder surprise....Might need to write the link to this site on the bricks before I start throwing.
