If you have already learnt to solder & have a little building experience then do it, if for no other reason to say that is my amp I built it :)

However

If it's your first visit to self build I would suggest heading for something a little less ambitious especially as you will be working with more than 9 Volts

Perhaps getting a little practice project like a fuzz box first would give you a little practice before diving in.

I'm not trying to say you aren't up to building it but frustration has killed off more than one of my own personal projects in the past :(

Often with self builds you have (eventually) done everything properlyyou may still have to hunt problems down these could be faulty components, small design problems or just general wierdness.

Old habits die hard (from my coding days), debugging is the process of finding out what has went wrong when you think you have done everything properly.

Hmm yeah I could be diving in at the deep end. But this time as it comes with full instructions I think I could do it, so long as I take it slooooow and concentrate! I have done basic soldering (fixing wires in  my guitar and replacing pickups) so I have the jist of it!

didnt look at the kit too hard but just do it. after all its just an amp.

Now if it was 2 channel, independant tone control, inbuilt spring reverb with effects loop...... thats different.

Have a go.
