I am glad you like them. I don't have experience of base plates however I understand that they add a thickness. I've often wondered about the baseplate idea.My guitars don't have them.

I would not mess around with base plates too much as they also influence the middle/bridge cluck. Better the old way!

The baseplate seems to me is a good measure for the bridge pickup which almost always benefits from a bit of extra oomph. Not sure whether I would need it in the other positions.

Baseplate in the neck could get a bit boomy. I think that's why few people order a neck-pickup with a baseplate.

I have a baseplate bridge apache, if I could go back, I don't choose the baseplate.
