Hi guys,
My band are having a weekend of rehearsal, and in a spare moment we mic'd up the rigs and recorded some stuff with it. I'll be putting up some video footage of it soon but in the meantime here is a clip of my rhythm tone:
http://soundcloud.com/nolly/zilla-cab-testYou're hearing my Axe-FX Ultra, 5150 model, through a VHT 2/50/2 power amp into my two custom Zilla 2x12 Fatboy cabinets (both with Vintage 30s). Both cabs are very deep and oversized, though one is a bit taller (it's nicknamed the Super Fatboy). The Super Fatboy is mic'd with an SM57, the regular Fatboy with an SM57 Beta. The two are blended together pretty much exactly 50/50.
If you're interested in a 2x12 with the beef of a 4x12 but more portable, I can't recommend the Zillas enough (

The guitar in this clip is my Dæmoness Cimmerian 6-string, with a BKP Blackhawk prototype in the bridge.
Note there's no post processing on the clip at all!

This is definitely the best tone I've had, sounds absolutely amazing in the room!
