Having no neck pickup is like having one of those "brakeless" BMX bikes. Or a doorless car. Or an ice-cream without the cone. Or a woman without the clothes. They make you appreciate the potential without the "nice" things
Guitars:
Warmoth Jazzmaster
Telecaster Standard
Ibanez RG370
Ibanez GSZ

Amp: Fender Hot Rod

SG Junior, Firebird 1 or some kind of Superstrat :)

That Wez Firebird of yours looks fantastic.
it sounds as good as it looks too! pure tone

I think my attration to single-pickup guitars is more of an "out of principle" sort of thing. Maybe you could even call it a gimmick. What I do is pretty much all fury, all the time, so a stripped-down guitar makes sense.
Versatility is not something I need, at all.

Plus, it just looks cool.

+1
It would have been a gimmick had not the first few electric guitars had it
Was playing on my guitars today and 80% of the time I was using the Bridge position. When I win lotto I'll buy lots of single pickup guitars, for bridge AND neck
I can imagine being a rebel in an indie band and playing a neck-pickup-only jazz electric guitar on high fuzz into an Orange amp. So badass :O

I can see and hear it, and I can tell you it would not be badass, it would be shameful. :)

Then a plank with a neckpickup makes it a woman with some chique lingerie?

Pretty much, yeah. But I'd rather do without the fancy bits to be honest.

If the neck pickup was really awesome it would be some badass lingerie? :$
You know what I mean. If somebody managed to make it sound good it would be a really different sound right?

A rougher version of that was exactly my idea :D I'm not such a big guy, will those look huge?
Oh btw, will BKP be willing to make larger sized Dogear P90s (like the Jazzmaster) because those would look cool on a hollow body guitar imo

Wow, that is really, really cool. Too bad I can't get over the fact that it's a Sig model for a band I absolutely detest.
