Hi,

Its been a long time since I posted on this board but I thought a few of you may be interested in a fix I had to do on a heavy ding on my Ebay white Epiphone Les Paul Custom(through the lacquer)

Starting out I cleaned the area removing any loose bits of finish or wood and the proceeded to drop fill the hole with super glue. Once the area had been mostly filled and left to dry over night I proceeded to apply thin layers of white nail varnish (obviously to match the guitar!) once this was complete i used various grades of wet and dry finishing with 1500 and then a good rub with some T.Cut and low and behold what was once a eyesore is now hardly noticeable.

I must say at this point a massive thank you to Jonathan at Feline guitars as he was more then happy to make a few suggestions over the phone to me and as such I have a not too shabby repair.

Enjoy the pics.

Well done!  :D

I know from experience that such repairs can be tricky - not so much filling the affected area, but rubbing through the surrounding area when levelling/polishing.  I've $%&#ed that up more than once....
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Thanks, it was actually really good fun, here is a full before (it was a badly described eBay guitar) and after pic set. This guitar was a mess.
