How many months of lessons does it take the average person to pass?

apparently the average is 40 hours of lessons with an instructor and 20 with a parent/other half.  tbh i would ignore averages

I had about a year of lessons, so I guess 50-odd, took 4 tests but never passed  :lol: .  It's probably good if you also have an opportunity to just practice a bit between lessons.

They also do those intensive courses where you do lessons all day for a week then take the test immediately - works for some, apparently.

I might be an exception but I only had about 20 hours of lessons (hour at a time) and I passed first time with 2 minors. Where as a mate done around 50 or so for the year and passed with more minors. All depends on the attitude, if you're calm and tackle new things with enthusiasm, you'll progress very quickly.
