New Pedal Days
« on: October 01, 2011, 09:32:26 PM »
Well! i'm back from the north have have 2 weeks off before i go up there again for 42 days. on my second day off i went music shopping, i stumbled upon this EQ-20 for around 135$ CAD. finally snatched a dyna comp too! and i took it upon myself to assemble my pedalboard at last. this is the result of today :)

the EQ-20 is a lucky find, i hear they're discontinued, but it's nice to have 2 eq's you can switch back and forth. with ease.

the dyna comp is awesome. i set it at unity gain and sensitivity at maybe 10 o clock and it just sits nicely there.

and yes. everything is plugged togheter to my tube amp. the only thing this rig needs now is an attenuator and i'll be set for a while!

Nice find!

I really like the 20-series BOSS pedals. I have the Loop Station (RC20?) and the Rotary Ensemble (RT20?).

yeah. i wasn't expecting to find an EQ-20.. i was on the hunt for an EQ however. and at this price, i think i got myself a good deal! the sales guy even tossed up a PSA-120 adaptor (you can never have too many of them)

nice collection of pedals you got there.

What is the 1/2 switch next to the traynor switch doing?

I am in the market for an EQ myself for sculpting a different tone from the amp (via the loop), was thinking about the MXR 10 band. Had you any chance to compare the MXR and the Boss tone wise?

i was in the market for the mxr but when i saw the boss i just picked it up right away. i sadly haven't ever tried one so i can't tell!

the 1/2 is for my reverb/fx loop on my amp. i use the fx loop as a boost, that way i have a solo boost on the traynor switch set at a certain level, and the fx loop is set just a tiny bit louder. one for leads and one for the big bad solo!

The MXR 10-band is awesome. Here in the US, it's one of those pedals that everyone seems to own, like a TU-2.
