I'm getting my list in early, the Morpheus Drop Tune looks to be a great piece of kit.

Between different bands, I end up having separate guitars in E, Eb and D - its a pain in the arse.

For £135 I can't see the downside of this, awesome...

I've had some success using pitch shifting by half a step in the past but never more than that.

What i did generally was tune to Eb then i can go either way without it sounding overly processed

guess it will affect harmonic feedback when you've got it cranked. strings vibrating at a different rate to the sound.

I can deal with the down sides for the sake of the odd song - the feedback should be ok too since everything from the pickups is transposed.  Be interesting to see.  Mastadon are using these btw.

I've had mine for about a year. Tracking/tone is reasonable - perhaps not quite so good if you want to drop more than 4 or 5 steps. Important you set up the trim level control at the back of the pedal - if you set it too low tracking will suffer.

i really wanted one of these too, until i came across the digitech whammy DT.  it does everything the droptune does, everything the Morpheus Capo does, and it has a bonus built in whammy pedal! :)

i'd say if overall drop tuning is all you want though, the morpheus would be the one to go for

I was in a very shortlived band with a guy who used a drop tune for a couple of songs we did in D standard tuning.

He lent me the pedal to see how I liked it as regards to my buying 1 to save me keeping 1 guitar in D standard for 1 song, but I just couldn't get on with the pedal.

The tracking was ok, but I found the pedal a bit noisy and it really seemed to take the edge off my drive sound so I didn't bother buying 1.

I bit of hijacking, but ow is the Whammy DT, Blue? The old whammy doesn't track very well and you could say that it is part of the pedals charm. How about the DT?

it's very good.  i have an XP100 Whammy wah, and the whammy end of the new pedal does sound much better.  the detune/capo end works well too.  it sounds more artificial the further you change the tuning, but still entirely usable.  i'm very impressed with it.
