greetings, its a rough prepro demo of guitars and drums. recorded direct with an axefx ultra using redwirez ir's.  this track has a refused / helmet / melvins thing going on with a james brown drum break.

its ugly and mean. haha. enjoy!!!!!

thanks holmes!!!! ive been digging your tones as well. some of our other tracks have a crusty / punk rock/ death metal vibe so we share a similar taste in guitar tones.

i hated the powerball. The powerball II is way, way better. Its more like a bar-steward child of a Soldano & a triple rec.

What i absolutely loved was the 3'rd channel.
All from 0 to 10
Gain: 6
Bottom Boost: On
Bass: 4
Mid: 8
Mid focus: 4
Treble: 6
Presence: 9
Mid boost: Off
Depth punch: 10(!)

Loomer and i played with this on volume 1½. The shop was shaking due to the rectifier cabs we played on xD

Best amp ever!!!

damn!!!! ive heard great things about the powerball II and the fireball 100. these boards are bad for your health. hahaha. the axefx has cured my GAS somewhat, but i have been fiending to try out a vht deliverance 120, and both engls mentioned above. is the new powerball is also powered by el-34's?

i also have an older mesa boogie dual rectifier which i'll never get rid of. number 63 to be exact. i'll use it to record, but i don't want to play live in case something happens to her. hahaha.

i do prefer 6L6's to EL-34's, but been really happy using the 6L6's and EL-34L's together in mesa 295. i do want to try KT-88's down the line.

so the powerball II definitely sounds like a totally different beast. must investigate further.
