must be reasonably priced ..  can collect and pay cash as long as you are not more than 2 hours from derby ...

Yeah mate you need to give us a few more details. I have a JCM900 for sale going for £300 with a footswitch. In good condition, works well, all it needs is some WD40 on the master volume switch as it can get a bit crackly whilst turning it. But other than that, works great. If you want the 4 x 12 cab too, i'll have to add an extra £75.  I live in Hertfordshire so it's quite easy to get here.

sorry should have been more specific .. probably looking for a combo (pref 2X12) ..  as a head/cab setup would prob be out of my price range ...

any marshall jcm/jtm or similar or any all valve model by laney vox fender h&k peavey etc...  as for power ? enough to do pub gigs with really so prob 50W although i heard a laney 30w 2X12 that was great cant remember the model ...

maliciousteve :  £375 for amp and cab sounds ok price but more than ive got to spend :-(
throw in the cab for free and i might just about be able to raise 300 but it would be a struggle ..

Sorry mate but i'm hesitant to sell the cab anyway. I couldn't chuck it in free, £75 would be my lowest for the cab.

50w valve I'd say is almost too much. I'd say 15-30w valve is good. However I dont gig, but whilst jamming with mates  today I had to keep my 40w Hot Rod deluxe (1x12" speaker) quiet, ie not much louder than bedroom level, to allow the other guitarist to be heard (who was playing through a valvestate halfstack). This made for shitee tone, wheras a smaller valve amp would have sounded much better at this level..

Check out Laney LC30- or even 15. Budget amps but good tone and pretty reliable.

please don't use WD-40 on pots - you'll freeze them up, maybe not right at first but eventually. Go to Maplins and get some pot cleaner spray (you want a lubricant spray cleaner for pots).

:o  where did you find a pro tube? i've been looking for one for ages. I'll be putting the JCM900 on ebay sometime this week, so as soon as that sells, i'll let you know about the cab. Other wise i don't have any way of playing at band practice etc
