You will love the VHII, at least I do in my strat.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

just giving it a work out now telerocker.
i had a gibbo 496t in the bridge up till 20 mins ago which i'd put in as i was  using the strat for slide, but since changing to a different guitar for slide the 496 was way out of balance alongside the single coils but it did sound nice though, very thick. immediately the vhII sits alongside the single coils alot better and has almost got a single coil thing going on itself. will be interesting to compare it to my mates strat which i'd just put a mule in.

which one is the 496T? - I'm actually after a 498T at the minute if you have one ????

As far as I know a 496T does not exist. There is the 498T (alnico) and the 496R (ceramic, to which the 500T would be the corresponding bridge unit).

yeh sorry its a 498t don't know where i got the 496 from.
don't think i want to sell it just yet as i might have further use for it. they are a nice pickup, i've had it in three different guitars now a cheapy thru-neck a les paul custom and the strat all of which have been set up for slide. it worked well in all 3.
i will let you know if i change my mind though.

i'm taking that back. it definately is a 496t which was paired with the 490r. its alnico v with 52mm spacing.
