good floor based multi fx for fx loop?
« on: December 24, 2011, 12:15:30 AM »
Hey dudes, real estate on the pedal board is getting tight, but absolutely loving the wampler plexi drive, coily fuzz (fuzz face clone) and the sweet sound mojo drive which arrived few days back, it really is a magical vibe, deep, throaty, plenty of tweakability and allows univibe speed change easily on the fly....now looking for an upgrade multifx to replace the old digitech, even though I still love it for it's ease of tweakability, noise gate, whammy,  different delays, volume boost and modulations and the fact that you can totally bypass it's amp and cabinet simulation and set them to 'direct'...

can u guys recommend a good floor based multifx for the FX loop which DOES NOT suck tone? or do you think there is no choice but going for expensive rack gear like the G major? anyone tried the rocktron Utopia?

(tried the nova system before and didn't dig it initially, may have taken it back prematurely, it was slightly bulky and the lack of expression pedal was annoying)
