The tone sounds very fuzzy.

If this is the case it will be with the saturation rolled back like at 2:05 in the vid.
Most velcro type fuzz pedals will get you 90% there. There might also be a phase 45 used as i can hear a bit of modulation at the end of the track.
Just a guess.

Yeah, sounds that way... I tried playing it with nothing but fizzy fuzz and it didn't blur my fast strumming enough so I guess it would make sense to use a phaser/flange

It's difficult to hear but it could also be a Univibe, maybe mixed with a another time-effect.

I like this game.
Live it's a les paul bridge pickup in to a fender something sonic or other with an overdrive pedal.
In the studio I think it is a cranked vox ac4tv, possibly, with an overdrive pedal in front of it. It mat be a les paul it may be an epi casino with a p94 in the bridge.
