Guess that really depends on what kind of music you are going to play.  As well as tuning.  As well as amp used.

No idea about the pickups, but nice guitar!   :D

I've often been tempted to buy a Voodoo SG.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

I've had the Miracle Man first, very hard-hitting and good sound. Very defined. However, I've now settled on a Nailbomb, warmer, more refined and versatile.
For the most extreme stuff I imagine something like the Warpig would be best.
Current BKPs: Miracle Man, Nailbomb, Juggernaut, VHII
Past BKPS: Holy Diver, Trilogy Suite, Sinner, Black Dog

I played a Voodoo Explorer once with an EMG 81 in the bridge and the sound was piercing my ears!
You'll need a pickup that can deal with those extremely bright swamp ash guitars. I would suggest an alnico Warpig, no ceramic pickup (unless you are aiming to sound like a chainsaw)

Well it does not matter at all. i called the guy and asked him if i could go and pick it up tomorrow. Some dude had picked it på 30 mins earlier.

So here i am again.
I wanted that guitar since it came out in 2002. I never had the money while it was in production. For the last 3-4 years, i've been looking for one. Found it yesterday, and now its already sold. even for a discount of what the original price was...

Im actually feeling quite hurt...

I feel sorry for you, but maybe another one will come up soon. They don't go that cheap though. When I got mine I paid almost 700£ for it (I think). But I really wanted one.

The neck is my favorite part of this guitar. Thick yet slick, low and fast action yet few buzz, not too large frets (not a fan of jumbo frets), super strong and stable.

Wow really..i remember liking it when it came out, but went with a standard (SG model that is) as the voodoo's seemed cheaper in quality.
I too have always liked the look of them though.......

definitely sux ....
Mississippi Queen Set = Gibson SG Standard
Warpig = '88 Charvel Model 1
