wiring to an Ibanez vlx91 switch
« on: February 03, 2006, 09:42:49 PM »
Can anyone give me a diagram of how to wire up a nailbomb to one of these complicated devices? I'm wanting to wire it in the standard Ibanez 2 humbucker way of... (Starting the 5 way switch in neck position)

Neck series, neck parallel, both humbuckers, two inner coils, bridge series.

I have downloaded Ibanez diagrams from the website but they are all for dimarzio's or ibz's etc. However they seem different for every guitar. My guitar is an s2020x. HELP!!!

S series guitar such as ours have bloody stupid switches - they have a circuit board in them to confuse you. i'm lucky to have somebody near me to wire my pickups for me who works for fender. he took apart my switch and mapped the circuit board which is there so that if yu want to change your pickups you send it to Ibanez to do, and they make more money. Its ridiculous and rubbish and i think the only way to figure whats going on is to take the switch apart - good luck! lol

What colour does the original p/up wires have?
Let me know that and I'll tell you what colour to substitute for your new BKP.

Red and white.  Just the two. And the earth, of course.
