Wanted: Lead Guitarist
« on: March 03, 2012, 09:17:14 PM »
The Lead Guitarist for out band has decided to part ways with us, he's overstretched with so many gigging bands as it is, and seeing as we haven't got to that stage yet, he's decided to commit to the others that are earning him some bill money.   :)

I'm not going to beat around the bush: Must be 18 or over due to venues we will be playing, but apart from that, gender, sexual preference, appearance do not matter. We are looking for a good...no an awesome Lead Guitar player, and we don't care who you are as long as you have the talent and the licks and a bit of stage presence. My lyrics are my outlet and I have some anti-organised religion views, so an open mind is a must as much as playing ability. It's nothing I would call offensive, and usually targeted at those individuals who use their religion as a front for warmongering / sexual abuse etc, which I think most people would be on board about...

We are mostly from the Exeter area, although our Bass player lives in Bournemouth, and our ex-Guitarist was from the far side of Plymouth, so locality is not a problem for us, as long as you are able to get to a weekly practice in Exeter and are willing to put the time and effort into practising at home.

I am currently recording a demo which may become our E.P depending on how good I can get it sounding....so far not too shabby, but we need a good Lead player soon who can come up with the goods and put them down on record with me.

You can hear old versions of our songs here:

These are currently being ripped apart / added to / enhanced and made more bad-ass, for want of a better term. I see us going in a more proggy direction, but still rooted in Metal in the vein of Opeth / SYL / Devin Townsend, now incorporating more influences such as Isis, Katatonia etc, with more emphasis on clean vocals (not taking the harsh vocals out entirely, though).

If you can sing backing, either cleans or harsh or both, all the better.

Last but not least: gigs are not a problem, we can have them as soon as we are ready. We have made good contacts and have a fan base among promoters, venues and radio DJ's from when we were actively gigging a couple of years ago (we have been on hiatus for a while). The only factor now is having a Lead Guitarist and finishing off the songs properly.

You can get me at baneofdeceit@gmail.com, send me a demo and we'll take it from there!

Keep it heavy!  \m/  >_<  \m/

Hey guys, could I ask you all a favour? here's the official JMB advert:

http://www.joinmyband.co.uk/classifieds/wanted-blistering-lead-guitar-player-for-metal-band-t319589.html

Could you all please spare a moment to share it on your facebook / other social networking pages please? I am really desperate to not only get the line-up sorted but also to add more quality and sheen to the band as a whole.

Not having played a gig in over two years now is REALLY doing my nut, I'm tired of the band dragging its feet and will be getting the boys into a more professional routine and overall attitude, because I can't stand not progressing any more and it needs to change as of yesterday, heh.

So please, do a desperate fellow musician a favour and share this advert around to everyone you know. Hopefully we will find that diamond in the rough and finally bring the live music to the scene soon!

Thanks, guys.  8)
