hi forum,

I'm looking for a pair of humbuckers to slot into an old '89 RG570 (basswood body with maple neck and rosewood board) with a view to capturing a tone that resembles Nuno's tone somewhere between the second and third extremem albums.

Everyone says I'll need a Bill Lawrence pickup, but I'm wary of having one sent from America when I'm not 100% sure of the hype and the mystique of which is the right one to get.  BKP seems to offer a wide range of pickups and also lets me "buy British".

So where to from here?

I agree with Eric. The Cold Sweat bridge comes very close to the tone Nuno has in "Decadence Dance" of the Pornograffiti album. Don't know about the neck pickup really - does he use it at all?

Cheers Stephan

Tim told me the Riff Raff neck is the closest to the Duncan '59, so maybe that may be a starting point?

Hi Jono, so what did you do ?

Jono only posted twice on here and that was over a year ago. One a side note, i would have said the Mule neck would cover the SH-1 '59.
BKP: Abraxas - Les Paul
Holy Diver - Charvel
Mule - Les Paul
Rebel Yell - Les Paul
VHII - PRS CU22
Emerald - Les Paul
Warpig - Caparison Horus
