(I've not actually heard Richie Kotzen - so I might be missing something there!)

Scarily talented - he's also playing bass and drums in this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhCqEfkKa5s
and here looking like Jack Sparrow singing All Along The Watchtower: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2YJ_VHm_Zg

I saw him live when Cornford did a promo gig for his signature amp in Exeter. (he also has a signature Tele and Strat)

I like Kotzen's work in Mr Big - he filled Paul Gilbert's shoes really well and did his own thing.

That first link is insanely good.   I've never really spent much time listening to him, but I might now.

Finally got round to viewing some stuff - that Robin Trower footage is ACE, nice one Johnny :D

And that Kotzen bloke is indeed scarily talented. His vocals seem a little squeaky for my tastes (given that Dewar is one of my all time favourites )  - but I've learnt to appreciate Geddy Lee, so I'm sure I can manage this guy!

He doesn't always sing in such a high register - he dips his toes in various musical styles, from soul/funk to shred to fusion to full-on hard rock, and his guitar/vocal approach varies quite a lot.

One of my favourites is a project he did with some Japanese musicians, called Forty Deuce.  It's just a balls-out rock album and the vocals are terrific!
