I got all excited for a moment, but then I realised that I've got it on DVD - it's the DVD packaged with Gimme Back My Bullets (the deluxe version... or whatever it is ).

Tasty stuff, but there's only the two guitarists - it's just before they got new boy Steve Gaines in - so it hasn't quite got the slickness they could manage combined with the raw-ness on display here. If you've not seen it, though (or not seen it since '75), definitely worth a watch. These boys knew what they were doing. I'm quite sad that it was all gone three or four years before I woke up to this kind of music. I remember a guy at university going on about having seen Lynyrd Skynyrd. He'd talk about it like he'd seen the second-coming, and we just went "yeah, yeah..." at the time.

If you can find the Knebworth footage online, that's stunning STUNNING stuff. Most of it is used in the "Freebird the movie" DVD (except they don't use the Knebworth Freebird performance, sadly) - I got that cheap a while back and watched it end-to-end back-to-back several times. Out of everything (all artists), this is the gig I wish I'd been to (I'd have only been 12 though!)...
