In my continuing travels through the less glamorous suburbs of PRS country, I've just picked up another little bargain (....I think)
It's a 2006 Standard Satin 22. All mahogany, Wide Fat neck, Dragon II pickups, just a fraction under 7 pounds in weight. The satin finish has gone mostly shiny from playing, there are about a dozen minor battle scars dotted about, but that doesn't bother me like it would on a more upmarket model.
Definitely a Plain Jane.... apart from the Birds (I was a Moons man for a long time, considered Birds excessively blingy, but they have recently won me over!). But feels good, plays great.
And this is the eighth PRS I've owned (ninth including the SE) and still not
one with an exotic maple top, or indeed any kind of maple top.... is that some kind of record? :P
