Bah Iron Man is blatently the best name for an Iommi inspired pickup  8) With a distressed cover it'd be killer!

Warpig is from Paranoid, so lets pick an earlier name because later he was using the John Birch with humbuckers - albeit thin ones with lots of screw polepieces!  Hence Evil Woman!  Though NIB or Wizard are cool too.

I have a guitar with a Warpig bridge and MQ neck.  It is a great combination.  However I am going to get a baritone Iommi with Pig-90 and P-91 pickups!  But I think it will be the summer before I get it made.
So many pickups, so little time

hahaha yeah, or The Fairy   The celtic cross across a distressed cover would look so cool, especially in the Iommi sig sg. I feel major gas coming along again

'iron man' is quite a blatant name though isn't it ;) i like 'evil woman' - much more subtle ;)

i wonder also if a humbucker sized pig90 would be a possibility. maybe its my confused delirum, but i think i remember reading that bkp-92 isn't possible in a humbucker size..

EDIT 1:
well, i just read this so ;)

EDIT 2:
and then i just read this...

Tim is refering to using 42 gauge PE, which P90's have always been wound with. To get a higher resistance you must use a thinner gauge wire but you will loose the classic 90 tone.

hmmm, seems like conflicting posts from tim, or??

I have heard rumour that Iommi used his stratocaster for Black Sabbath's first and only changed to the P90 SG when the p'up broke ???

Surely a strat can't sound like that, even with Iommi's dark aura around it
BKPS: Milks, P90s, Apaches, Mississippi Queens, Mules, PG Blues, BG FP 50s, e.60s strat custom set

steve: thanks for the clarification

elliot: i heard the same rumour and i guess its true, based on interviews with the man himself:

the last one says 'wicked world' used a strat, and i think the tone is a bit brighter than the rest of the album. i dont know what you think about that? (i'm no stratocaster fan...)

Listen closely to Paranoid (the song). It's a Strat.
