Not tried it, but it looks like the basic delays are related to the delay effects in the Tonelab - I like those (although soundwise I prefer the Line6 delays in the POD XTLive I have).

One thing I Love about the delays in the Tonelab is "Ducking". You control the amount by which repeats are "ducked" (momentarily reduced in volume) as you play a new note. Lets you set up crazy delays and still have the original performance shining through. You can use this on any of the delay models in the Tonelab. Looks like this beastie has a specific model for it.

Just read all the blurb - this thing does some crazy-sh1t!

If it's up to the standard of the other Vox modelling stuff I've experienced, then I'd say it's definitely worth a try.

I've just bought a pedal board but this wouldn't fit in it. It does look like a behemoth of a delay pedal though.

What makes line6 delays better in you opinion Andy?

I wouldn't say "better", my impression is/was that I just preferred the sounds. I think it might have been a feeling of more clarity or something. This might not actually be a good thing to someone else!

And it might not now for me - it's a very long time since I last used the XTLive for guitars, so my memory might be playing tricks. Btw, I just got the POD 2.0 out at the weekend and discovered I like it!!! (Means my nephew's not getting it now!) So I might be plugging 6-strings back into the XTLive soon as well, to see what I make of it nowadays....
