I have a Carvin DC727 all walnut/ebony board that needs some new pups. I play a wide variety of music from death metal to funk and other styles with smooth cleans. One requirement is that the low end be reasonably to highly tight and articulate for metal riffing on the B string without allowing the highs to be thin as I will use this guitar for leads as well (I love silky lead tones). So versatility with depth and character is key. I've had a few recommendations already but would like to hear a few more before I buy a pair if anyone has any input. Thanks.
