Hi again !

In a few weeks a Crawler and a Holydiver (both bridge-models) will arrive here so I can do an A/B comparison and choose between them....

Guitar is PRS Singlecut Trem (mahagony body, maple top, rosewood fingerboard, PRS scale).
Music Style: Classic to Hard & Heavy Rock, some alternative rock stuff..... metal is very seldom.....

Now I´m not sure which humbucker to choose for the neck position....

I want something for good clean rhythm work with not more output than "medium".....
I´m going to mount a push/pull pot so it would be nice to get some acceptable "single-coilesque"sounds as well.

Think it wouldn´t be wrong to have less mids on the eq-chart, but on the other hand it should be suitable for playing overdriven solo notes in higher fretboard- positions without being to harsh....

Last but not least it should match either the Crawler or the Diver on the bridge....

I´ve heard that Crawler neck could be a bit dark sometimes....

So maybe the Diver or the Emerald.....or even Rebell Yell ?

Emerald x2000%
Great match for either of those pickups. The rebel yell would also work nicely but IMO the emerald neck is a much better fit and a better neck pickup in general.

My vote goes to Emerald, I like it much more than Holydiver.
Another good option may be a Cold Sweat, but CS is more modern sounding than Emerald.

I think a Rebel Yell would do the trick here. I'm not quite as confident in an Emerald for heavy rock and some metal as I am in a Rebel Yell.

Thanks so far,

I´ve just ordered an Emerald and I´m going to report after receiving and mounting this stuff !

Concerning Rebell Yell: I´m not sure if it would be a little bit too "modern" for me.... but perhaps it´s not far away from Emerald..... ( I considered Rebell Yell for bridge position but some people say that this is a bright one and I rather prefer something smoother....)

Yeah, the Emerald will do the trick, don´t worry. Looking forward to your thoughts!

The RY in the bridge is bright and has that upper mid spike that just makes it so nicely agressive. Very cutting, tight and just alive. Really awesome pickup, but not smooth^^ I always just say: It ROCKS!
BKPs in use: 10th set / RY set / Holy Diver b, Emerald n / Crawler bridge, Slowhand mid MQ neck/ Manhattan n
On the sidelines: Stockholm b / Suppermassive n, Mule n, AM set, IT mid

Smoothness with that pickup is just a touch of the volume/tone knob away!
