I only have the Jr version (which was designed to sound like the big one, but in a smaller package). It is good, I'd rate its sound 8 out of 10 in highgain (with my 5150 getting 9 out of 10). I recently played it and it can cover most bases that a Dark Terror does. With the sweep dial, the EQ on the Kranks is more versatile, but, sadly, also way more fiddly. You can get great sounds out of it, but also some really bad ones. I've been thinking for some years of replacing it with a Hughes & Kettner, Mesa and, recently, an Orange Dark Terror, but really it is too similar to be wort the extra cash.
I can't comment much more on the rest, as power tubes, watts and everything else is quite different on the bigger ones. One thing that I read, however, in a Gitarre & Bass (a quite "professional" magazine), was that the 100 Watt Kranks only sound to their true potential at really loud volumes. THAT would worry me.
