I am wanting to deck out two telecasters with BKPs, each has a different configuration and tonal agenda. I play in a '90s influenced post-hardcore/metalcore band with progressive elements, think more along the lines of Refused and Snapcase, rather than all those '00s metalcore bands. We can go from thrashing riffs to complicated chords to clean, ambient sounds all in one set.
I want to setup one telecaster to be a pure metal, riffing machine. I without a doubt want a Piledriver in the bridge here, and a humbucker neck. I am looking for a BKP that's similar in voicing to a DiMarzio Air Norton in the neck. I love how smooth and crystal clear an Air Norton sounds, how legato and leads seem to meld together with creamy goodness. It has this "human voice" quality to it that I've not heard from other pickups. But, it has to be a pickup with a voice to compliment the Piledriver, and will only be wired with one of it's coils when used in the middle position with the bridge pickup. This guitar is going to going for a rhythm sound similar to this:

I want high-output pickups, but something that still sounds like a telecaster. I've read that the Piledriver sounds almost like a humbucker and loses the telecaster character with the volume all the way up, and I want something different in the second guitar. This guitar will have a typical telecaster configuration with two single coils, and is going to be wired with a 4-way switch so that I can get the neck and bridge in either series or parallel. I need something hot and crunchy, but not overbearing for lighter, more melodic music than what I posted above. I will need some decent cleans, but I am honestly not too picky about the cleans being pristine or anything like that, as long as they are usable since I often roll down the guitar volume for cleans, which keeps some of the grit when picked hard. I am leaning towards the Flat '50s Blackguard set at the moment, but open to other opinions here. I'm not sure how the Blackguards will sound with the 4-way mod series wiring. This guitar is going to be going for sounds more akin to this:

I use an EVH 5150 III and a Mesa Single Rectifier through Orange cabinets with Vintage 30s. I don't necessarily want the tones of the bands in the videos I posted, those are only to illustrate the styles of music I'm trying to cover.
Thanks in advance for any advice...
