That EVH III sounds good.  It's stretching my budget and I wouldn't have a cab for a little while but 50 watts is appealing.  Might hold off on the 6505+ 112  for a bit and give this some real thought.

I would really choose the EVH if I were you, trust me. I played the small head and was totally blown away. Unlike the 6505 you have a good clean channel, an amazing crunch channel (for the Maiden tones you're after) and a brutal modern lead channel. You can also just get a 1x12 Cab and play the Amp through Headphones, it is Midi switchable and as said it sound amazing even on low volume. Gonna get it myself when I have the money ^^

The two things that got me were hearing it works well at low volume and it's got a good clean channel.  I'd match it with the 212 cab though.  They don't seem that expensive but I'd have to wait to get one maybe a month or two after I got the head.  Still I think it will be worth it.
