This is beautiful. I have had G.A.S. for a good Jackson for a long time by now and the only thing that hindered me from doing an impulsive purchase was the lack of money. I pretty much learned that most things that are worth having, gearwise, are pretty penny. Now I'm not the kind of guy who refuses to buy cheap guitars, not at all, my Ibanez Beater that is pretty decent cost me only 400€, but since Jackson started their PRO Series I have noticed a big drop in quality. Tried some of these out and they really aren't comparable to a high end guitar, neither when it comes to feel nor sound.

Now this guitar is made in Mexico and I haven't had the chance to try it out, but I imagine those are not nearly as good as the Jap made ones, my bassist has a DK2M he bought last year that was made in Japan and it rocks. He paid 700€ for it.

My question would be: does anyone know how much the Jackson Custom Shop charges for a build? I'm not going to have the money by tomorrow and I'm not in a hurry but I want my next guitar to be really good. And I guess if I the CS is really expensive, I could just get an USA Series. I dunno. Opinions?

Cheers

Charvel as an alternative? They get a lot of praise.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
