A guy made me an offer: 1100 euros for a Marshall JMP 1959 from late '70s (no JCM). Is this amp worth buying? Is this the amp that I need? I saw also some JMP 2203 for the same price. From the pictures i can see that the 1959 JMP has 4 input jacks, while the JMP 2203 has only 2 inputs. Please, help me!

The four input 1959 has less gain, no master volume and is more early AC/DC.  The two input 2203 has a bit more gain and a master volulme and is more Randy Rhoads with Ozzy.

If you're playing loud and don't need the master volume I'd get the 1959 - it could be the only amp you'll ever need.  If you need to back off the volume a bit and keep the gain then the 2203 may suit you better.

You really need to decide what YOU want - each of us here on the forum will prefer one or the other of those amps for different reasons.  Neither is "better" than the other  :)

1100 euros sounds a bit expensive for late 70's jmps, unless they are flawless

also, keep in mind those amps need lots of volume to sound good
you should consider 50 watters, which are also LOUD, but get some compression a lot earlier

This is where I got my JMP 2203. He has a '79 4-holer. Some XLR  jacks added which makes it less desirable in terms of vintage value, but the guy is great to deal with. His name is Paul Huish nd te 4-holer is 600GBP.

He also has a 67 mint Plexi, but that is 5x the price :)
