PICKUPS SELECTION - FENDER Strat HSS
« on: October 13, 2012, 05:22:14 AM »
Hi guys! Hope everyone is doing good.  :D

Im writing here to ask for some advice about what BKP to put in my axe.

I have a Japanese Fender Floyd Rose Strat (Basswood body, Maple Neck+Rosewood board, Schaller Floyd, HSS pickup set)
which I am planning to change pickups. My main playing style is Metal, but with some occasional Blues playing. I play both Rhythm & Lead guitars & do a lot of soloing with both Bridge & Neck pickup.

For the bridge pickup, I want something thats clear yet powerful but not too bassy or trebly, & can handle Standard & some Drop tunings if needed.
(I also have a Nailbomb set in a Gibson LP Standard which is awesome but I dont know if it will be good in a Basswood strat.  :?)

For the neck, I am looking for a single coil pickup that can be versatile enough for fast lines & sweep pickings & produce some nice cleans.

Sorry for the long post. Hope you guys can help me.

Appreciate all the help. Thanks in advance!  :)

OT:
BTW here are some clips with the BK Nailbomb on a LP Standard.

For the bridge I'll say either Miracle Man or Nailbomb. For the middle and neck I think you should look at the Trilogies.
Mississippi Queens, Stormy Monday/Apaches, Emeralds, Nailbomb (bridge)

As mr. Air already says: sounds like Nailbomb/Trilogies
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
