That's really good stuff

I love that his neck at least looks better than the one he took off, and at least as good as any I've seen on a PRS.

Hows his build and methods looking to your luthier-eye? (seems rather spot on to me, but I'm no luthier)

I agree that it looks far better. Especially the inlays but I think they'd look better without the staining. The only problem with this now though is the neck looks far too classy for the body so he needs to make a body too

Agree completely! Hes made that body look like tat. But then I havent seen a PRS that that neck wouldnt look weirdly too good on.

Lots of people in the thread said that as well. He says he likes the body, so no need to change it, and he was lacking some tooling as well I think.

I didn't go through the whole thread (all those pictures take too long to load on my cr@ppy PC, I was tearing my hair out...), but highly impressive!

Some highlights, for Sir P.Q.

Not even finished, and it looks great.

Thanks Mark!  :)

Beautiful work.  It's interesting that he's gone for a volute on the back of the headstock - I wouldn't think it's necessary for strength, but maybe he wanted a bit more mass?

I agree that it's maybe a bit too ornate now to match the body.  Not that the body doesn't look great, but they don't quite go together.

I forget his reasoning. He did mention why he put it in there. I think it was basically 'I know this wood doesnt need it, but may as well'.
