Latest Guitar & Question for HJM

Picked up the RT650 for $280 Cdn at the pawn shop today. A couple of dings but overall quite nice. It's even got a coil tap, which was standard on the 450 & 650 models. The pickups are pretty weak though, I'd read a bit about that so I think this will get new pickups before the sg. Not sure if I want to replace that middle single coil  :? Is it worth it? It's getting miracle man pickups, and trilogy if I replace that mid pos.
     I've got a question for HJM, can you send me the procedure for doing this?  "I stripped the finish off and oiled mine using the same procedure as musicman do, now it's super fast "

hello bird, nice looking guitar.

for what it's worth, i would change the middle pickup too.  mid position single coils are a much underrated and underused pickup.  put a good one in there and you'll fall in love!  you're going for a miracle man set, so i'm guessing you'll be using a lot of gain, but if you wind it down just a bit the single coil will sound great.
