I think it looks more complicated than it actually is, because each channel is independent thats the reason you get so many knobs as it gives you total flexibility over each individual sound. Its what i was after, as i wanted an amp which gave me 3 different sounds; one sound for clean, one for rhythm and one for lead :-)

I didn't mean for my comment to knock you or your tastes or needs or anything, just my personal opinion. Glad you found something that floats your boat.

I'd really like to compare it to the Marshall JVM Satriani.
BKPs: ESP Eclipse I CTM FT w/Riff Raff bridge/Mule neck - ESP Eclipse I CTM w/Rebel Yells - LTD EC-1000 FT w/Aftermaths - Music Man JPIX w/Juggernauts

Glad you like your JSX, tho the acronym in the thread title is misleading lol.  I've had mine for 2 years now and haven't found it as versatile, but is amazing for thrash metal which I guess why guys like Ol from Evile and Josh from Sylosis have used them over the years.  Keep in mind I'm running jj 6l6s biased fairly cool.

FWIW I run a maxon OD808 and an NS2 in front (in line, no loop) and the noise filter on 8 and noise floor is incredibly low, virtually silent at stage volume.  People are terrified by how quiet my rig runs with the volume/tones this thing puts out.

Yeah i kinda did it on purpose :-)

Glad you are enjoying yours, didnt realise Josh from Sylosis used one, i know their other guitarist used to (as he introduced me to the amp as he had a recording/rehearsal studio in Cardiff). Yeah i think what i found with the JSX is that i had got used to my Mesa Rectifier and how quiet it was, so when there was some hum and hiss (especially from the Ultra channel) it drove me up the wall lol
