So...I'm using a Tele with Yardbirds pickups, but have recently bought a Classic Player 60's Strat
It's a great guitar, but I prefer the Tele, especially the tone of the YB bridge pickup used with my Hotcake pedal. However, I much prefer the sound of the Strat neck pickup to the YB neck. Just more mellow, and richer clean with reverb, which I really like.
So can I have the best of both worlds? What BK (or otherwise) Neck pickup could I put in my Tele to get a similar, warm tone of the Strat, while matching my YB bridge when the two are combined. (Not sure how much disparity there is, if some combos' work and others don't)
Will email BKP as the staff have been very informative, but wanted to put this out there if anyone here can help.
FWIW I used to have Baja pickups and quite liked the "twisted tele" neck pickup in that, so what is similar or better than that?
