I'd be really surprised if the Quattro is shite. CM stuff is pretty damned good as a rule.
When you´re racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just pies.

TBH, so would I! From what I can gather, all of the effects are basically existing pedals with simplified controls so that they can fit it all into one relatively small box. The compressor seems to be based on their compressor/limiter circuit and that can't be a bad thing. The overdrive section has two stages and seems to be a combination of the 'Crunch Drive' and 'Rock Drive' pedals. The chorus, as far as I can tell, is a stripped down version of their existing chorus pedal and the delay section is the Echotone with fewer knobs. All in all, very promising. After discovering this pedal and doing some research online, I had only two concerns. Firstly, could I use the effects loop to connect to my amp using the 4 cable method and secondly, could I use the drive section as two separate overdrives so the first is used like a Tube Screamer and the second is used with a bit more gain that can add to the gain on my amp to produce more of a Metal tone. Following detailed communication with Jay at First Line Distribution, I am assured it can do both of these things. Jay tells me that the overdrive on the Quattro is quie a ntaural, organic sounding one, which is what I'd want for this kind of use so it shouldn't create more of a square-wave sound that would create more of a mess. Instead, it should simply push the amp even harder, the way I want it. It does sound very promising but I'll post my impressions after the 18th February for those of you who can't get to York to try it for yourselves. If I end up buying it, I'll obviously post a full review as well as soon as I get it.

CM is a reliable brand. I have a Trem-O-Vibe for many years and it's build like a rock. Never lets me down.
