I've never heard of an amp being fine tuned to take into account strings and picks preferences. Makes me think they'd need to have your guitar as well as your amp. Made a decision yet ? I actually liked the clips although I think they could have been eq'd better. The gain sounded nice and clear.

Haven't made a decision, though I'm most likely gonna go for it. Just trying to scr@pe some cash together, all while paying for my Alice in Chains and Rush tickets.

Not sure how much having the guitar would help them seeing that it wouldn't sound anything like me. You could put EVH through Eric Johnson's rig and he'd still sound like EVH. Also, I think with all the info they collect about the gear you use and the gain structure you like and your favorite tones to base it off of, that gets you close enough.
