OPD! Pedal Find
« on: May 08, 2013, 11:01:49 PM »
Found these in a shoebox in my loft, forgot i had them!
The DOD was my first ever pedal. Got it for my birthday back in 91, many happy hours were spent with it back then, all dials on full...always!
The Morley i got in a secondhand shop for 30 quid in the mid nineties. Built like a tank!

Always fun to dig up some old stuff that's  been out of the picture for a loooong time. How do they sound?

Good to keep stuff. Sometimes you come back to your old stuff.
I just gave my 1981 TS-9 to my brother, since I wasn't using it anymore. But, I still use my 1981 AD9. Build like a tank, still works fine.

Man.  I would love to layer in some tracks with that distortion pedal.

That's a time machine!

The Dod is in perfect working order, amazing considering it was kicked about hard through the nineties and then left in a box for the last 15 years. Sound-wise it's got tons of gain, a bit fizzy to my ears these days but a bit of power chording and palm muting and it takes me right back.
The Morley is from the late 70's and after trying it out the wah works fine, good sound, nice sweep. The fuzz is very much Big Muff territory, has a bit of noise so i think it may have a slight issue.
I'm in the middle of slimming down my collection and will probably sell these on, any idea on what these would be worth?

no idea how much they are worth, but loving the look of the Thrash Master!

Nice! I used to have the other obnoxiously coloured DOD pedal, the fluorescent yellow / green one. Forgot the name of it now, but at the time it was the best pedal for my little Park 10w practice amp. :D

Got my first guitar (Washburn MG40) for Christmas and for my birthday i was taken to the shop and could choose one pedal. My eyes went straight to the hot pink one that said THRASH on it and the rest is history!
