Picked this up yesterday - it's a Mooer Funky Monkey autowah.

Tried it last night, and absolutely HATED it! I've never owned an autowah before, and I found it really frustrating that I couldn't control the wah bit.

However, I was working from home today (ahem...) and I gave it a good thrash - I love it now! So much so that I've moved my much loved Crunch Box off my pedalboard to make way for it.

The other new addition is the CE-5 Chorus Ensemble - I was getting pretty sick of my Small Clone which sounds really artificial to my ears.  I don't use chorus much, but the CE-5 sounds really, really good.

I've got a lot of love for the Mooer pedals.  More so since reading that Richard Thompson has one on one of his pedalboards.
BKPs Past and Present - Nailbombs, Mules, Blackguard Flat 50's, VHII's & Trilogy Suite with Neck & Bridge Baseplates!

Neat!

I love auto wahs and envelope filters. I use a proper wah too but I consider both types of effect to be different. Being able to set an autowah to work with your touch is important, but I think they are really cool especially when used subtly where you might not expect to hear one. From my experience though, they seem to be a bit hit & miss as to what guitars they work with. Maybe I'll check out the mooer.

I've never tried a proper standalone autowah pedal, but I have tried various digitally-modelled sounds using the autowah effect and I really like it.

It's interesting the way it affects chords, single notes, high and low strings in different ways, seems totally unpredictable but once you get used to it you can start to control it.

And of course it sounds kinda Seventies, which can never be a bad thing.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

I had an Emma envelope filter, great stuff, sold it due to lack of (much) use.
